Alabama Wins SEC; Reaches BCS Title Game

#2 Alabama topped #3 Georgia, 32-28 to win the SEC championship. The Crimson Tide will move on to play top-ranked Notre Dame for the BCS crown in Miami. Coach Nick Saban spoke after the game.

All eyes descended upon Atlanta for the marquee event of college football's championship week as number two Alabama squared off against third-ranked Georgia for the SEC championship. The winner, more importantly, moves on to face undefeated Notre Dame in the BCS Championship game.

(vo) The Crimson Tide rallied from a 21-10 deficit midway through the third quarter to defeat the Bulldogs 32-28 in a down to the final seconds thriller. Game MVP Eddie Lacy rushed for 181 yards and two scores while back-up T.J. Yeldon added another 153 yards and a touchdown as Alabama "rolled" up an SEC championship game record 350 yards on the ground. AJ McCarron threw a go-ahead 45-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper with 3:15 remaining to give 'Bama a four point lead. Georgia's Aaron Murray then moved the ball all the way down to the Alabama five-yard line before time ran out after a completed deflected pass to Chris Conley. Coach Nick Saban is extremely proud of his team.
