Philadelphia 76ers Slayed by Warriors

The visiting 76ers were defeated by the Golden State Warriors, 96-89 on Friday night. Jrue Holiday had 21 points and 10 assists for the Sixers, who have lost eight of their last 10 road games.

The 76ers continued their eight-game road trip in Oakland against the resurgent Warriors on Friday night. David Lee's behind-the-back-dribble and dish to Harrison Barnes put Golden State up 18 midway through the third. However, Philly wouldn't go away quietly. Thaddeus Young's thunderous one-handed jam kick-started the Sixers rally. But Philly turned the ball over in the final minute with a chance to make it a one possession game. The Sixers shot 40 percent from the field and 25 percent from beyond the arc in their 96-89 road loss.
