Magic Beat Howard; Knicks Dispatch Suns

The Orlando Magic defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 113-103 in Dwight Howard's first game against his former team. The New York Knicks remained perfect at home with a 106-99 win over the Suns.

Dwight Howard took the floor against his former team the Magic for the first time in a Lakers uniform Sunday night.

Howard finished with 21 points and 15 boards against his former mates but Aaron Afflalo dropped 30 points for Orlando with Jameer Nelson chipping in with 19 points and 13 assists as the Magic upset the Lakers 113-103.

Meanwhile in New York the Knicks remained perfect at home after they slipped by the Suns 106-99. Rasheed Wallace was ejected late in the first quarter for the 31st time in his career after picking up two technical fouls but Carmelo Anthony picked up the slack and led the way with a game high 34 points as New York improved to an impressive 17-1 in the regular season under coach Mike Woodson at Madison Square Garden.
