Cavaliers Upset Thunder; Knicks Cruise

Kyrie Irving scored 35 points to help the Cavaliers upset the Thunder in a 115-110 victory on Saturday. At Madison Square Garden, J.R. Smith and the Knicks destroyed the visiting Kings, 120-81.

n a matchup between two teams going in opposite directions, two of the best young point guards in squared off in Cleveland on Saturday night. Russel Westbrook finished with 28 points and five assist for OKC, but first-time all-star selectee Kyrie Irving dropped a game-high 35, including 13 in the final 2:52 in regulation to stun the Thunder, 115-110.


The Knicks steam rolled the Kings, 120-81 for their 30th win of the season. New York used a 38-4 run in the first half and 82 points off their bench to hand Sacramento their third straight loss. JR Smith dropped a team-high 25 points and Amar'e Stoudemire added 21 for the Knicks. Two-time all-star Tyson Chandler spoke about the team's dominance after the game.



The Flyers ended a three-game skid by defeating the Hurricanes at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night. Claude Giroux and Danny Briere each had a goal and assist and Philadelphia erupted for three power-play goals on its first three chances to drop Carolina, 5-3.
